Contains whereas clauses noting the diligent and faithful service of Senator Stevens to Senate District 17 and his “principled and consistent opposition to the proliferation of official state symbols, festivals, and commemorative events.” Effective 15 days after the official Irish potato festival of the State of North Carolina is held and expires at the end of the 2011-2013 biennium.
