    Amends GS 115C-84 to allow the local boards of education for Caswell, Rockingham, and Stokes County schools to give a student an excused absence for days on which a student is absent before September 1 due to a family vacation, and give the student the opportunity to make up any tests or other missed work. Also provides that the local board is to determine the dates of opening and closing the public schools, deleting other specified date parameters. Applies beginning with the 2015-16 school year.
